Kirsten Lawton
I am a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner and Food Safety Consultant. I spent 11 years in local authority enforcement, before moving into the private sector. Initially a specialist in Housing, I reached the position of Principal Environmental Health Officer and also held a strategic community planning post with a Health Authority before moving into a food safety role. I worked for many years as a part-time employee in the catering sector, which I feel gives me a good insight into the realities facing the industry and a background allowing me to better understand the operational needs of these clients. I have worked for Hygiene Audit Systems since 2006, developing and delivering training courses and offering technical and strategic food safety consultancy to a number of prominent clients.
In my spare time, I am an active member of a local running club. I also enjoy water skiing and walking.
