Organisations must assess their workplaces for safety risks, implement health & safety strategies and train staff. This course helps to fulfill these requirements and provides a qualification that allows delegates to apply to the CIEH to run their own in-house basic Level 2 courses. This course is aimed at those in the workplace also who have a related management and/or training role. Examples are Senior Supervisors, Departmental Managers and Operations Managers with responsibility for multiple sites.
Course Objectives
- To train delegates for the Level 4 examination in Health & Safety
- To build skills to carry out risk assessments of your operation
- To provide detailed knowledge of health & safety
- To allow successful candidates to apply to run in-house CIEH Health & Safety courses (Please
note: will also require the 3 Day Professional Training certificate)

- Health & Safety Legislation
- Emergency procedures, accidents and accident prevention
- Safe working environments
- Occupational health and hygiene
- Workplace safety and control
- Electricity at work
- First aid requirements
- Managing safety including risk qualification and risk assessment
- Practical exercises/exam techniques

- Per Delegate: £650
- Exam Fee: £80.00 (All delegates receive CIEH Health & Safety for Managers, supervisors and safety representatives handBook)
Duration
- 5 days + exam
- Tutors hold daily revision sessions and examination practice questions
- Delegates must submit 2 course assignments
