Safer Food Better Business

Safer food better business (SFBB) is a system based on HACCP principles that has been developed, by the Food Standards Agency, to help small businesses put in place food safety management procedures and comply with food safety laws.

There are a number of SFBB packs available which are designed to meet the specific needs of different food businesses. These include packs for small catering businesses, small retail businesses and restaurants and takeaways that serve different cuisines.

Hygiene Audit Systems is able to assist you in implementing SFBB, by offering food safety training and coaching. Provided you and your food handlers have basic food safety knowledge, a coaching visit should provide you with sufficient food safety knowledge and information to successfully implement and maintain the SFBB pack.
One of our trained food safety consultants will visit you at your premises, (or come to our offices if you prefer), to explain the pack and how to use it. The visit will take between 3 to 3.5 hours and by the end of the session you will have a partially completed pack. After the coaching visit, we will make weekly follow-up telephone calls to check progress on the completion of the pack and answer offer further food safety advice.

Our SFBB food safety consultants are Environmental Health Practitioners who have food safety training and presentation skills, experience in local government and an excellent knowledge and understanding of the catering sector.
