Paul O'Day

I joined the team as a Chartered EHP in January 2011 having spent 14 years in local government. Whilst these years have been extremely rewarding I decided to ply my trade in the private sector to expand my knowledge and experience of the diverse range of businesses around the UK and overseas that require professional assistance. My interest in the English legal system has led to me studying law part-time at DeMontfort University.
Out of work my interests include keeping fit having run a number of half marathons (aiming to complete a full marathon in the next year or two); I also cycle having completed the Land's End to John O’Groats ride. My main out of work interest is mountaineering, which has taken me to Nepal (twice), Ecuador, Mexico, Tanzania, and Bolivia. Not all expeditions have been risk free; in 2004 I needed to be air lifted from a 6000m peak after suffering from pulmonary oedema in the Himalayas. I have made a full recovery and been climbing higher and more difficult peaks since.
