I am an Environmental Health Practitioner and food safety/health and safety consultant. I worked for Local Authority for 12 years in both Food and Health and Safety roles and has also worked for the Health Protection Agency. I spent a couple of years in New Zealand working as a Food Technologist/Trainer for a large ingredients company where I developed their HACCP documentation and dealt with a number of Environmental Health food safety inspections and HACCP Audits, giving me a good insight into what life is like on the other side of the fence when you are trying to please and impress the enforcement officer. I now provide technical advice and support to clients on food safety and health and safety matters, develop and deliver training courses and write HACCP based Food Safety Management Systems and Health and Safety Policies.
In my other life... I spend my time running around after two very active boys (not to mention my new baby boy no 3) and I enjoy long walks in the country and reading (when I have time!)
