Statement
Hygiene Audit Systems has a commitment to:
- Comply with any legal requirements in relation to environmental management
- Minimise waste of any description
- Reduce the use and waste of energy and water
- Manage any release to minimise impact on the environment
- Avoid the use of materials from non-renewable sources or materials involving significant impact on the environment
- Reduce the environmental impact of the organisations distribution and staff transport
- Ensure personnel understand the policy and are trained as appropriate
- Use environmentally responsible suppliers and contractors
- Monitor and audit environmental performance.
Transport
- If we can, we use trains and buses or walk or bike to work.
- We select local consultants to any job if possible to reduce travelling.
Housekeeping
Through careful housekeeping, we minimise waste and recycle many items including: paper, card, plastic, glass, batteries, toner cartridges. Our office building (once a Victorian Mills) has been refurbished to the latest energy efficiency standards.
