Dean Morrison
I am a food hygiene and health and safety consultant at Hygiene Audit Systems. I trained as a chef and worked for many years in hotel management. For the past ten years I have worked on 'the dark side', as many chefs would put it, working for local authorities and in the private sector. I enjoy the variety of inspecting, auditing and training, as well as researching and developing projects, courses and trying to answer some of the more bizarre questions that clients can throw at me. My operational experience allows me to give advice and guidance to both chefs and managers on a practical level, and every now and again it gives an insight into how some caterers try to pull the wool over the eyes of the environmental health officer!
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, the odd bit of DIY, as well as trying to entertain two young children.
